This is the very first digital painting I did on my iPad with ProCreate. It was really an experiment, but turned out really well. It looks a bit like a traditional watercolor. The inspiration comes from the scenery around where I live but could be any where really up here in the Northwest. It looks like a typical Pacific Northwest day in well Winter, Spring or Fall. We get a lot of cloudy misty dreary days, but we also have a lot of nice scenery too. Here's to the first painting!

Hello, my name is Becky Herrera and I am an artist in the Pacific Northwest. I have been drawing and painting since I was very little and was inspired by and encouraged by my grandfather, who was also an artist. I started out in traditional mediums and mostly worked in colored pencil and charcoal because of the control that you have to achieve the tiny details. Being interested in computers and technology, I have always been fascinated by digital art. I finally was able to get a taste when I got my iPad and found the app ProCreate.
